PowerCo Spain is making great progress on our gigafactory in Sagunto. Over 300 prefabricated concrete pillars, produced in Buñol and Zaragoza, are being installed at Parc Sagunt II, marking an important milestone. These pillars, along with 12 million tons of steel, will form the foundation for our 话题标签production facility for electric vehicles.
In the next six months, we’ll focus on building production blocks and the energy and cooling systems center. The structures will reach heights of 18-24 meters, with each pillar supporting over 70 tons, which equivalent to the weight of 60 cars!
This rapid construction highlights our commitment to speed, quality, and safety, as well as our collaboration with local partners to foster regional growth and employment. With over 180 external workers on-site, we expect the workforce to surpass 1,000 by mid-2025 as the site continues to expand.
This project is co-funded by the Spanish PERTE VEC program and Next Generation EU funds.
We’re excited to close the year with such a great milestone from Spain and can’t wait to share more updates on the progress in the coming year!
